Scholarship Programs
We will accept Spring 2026 applications beginning January 1.
Alive Credit Union is proud to offer the Betty M. Collins Memorial Scholarship twice a year in honor of our founding board member and her lasting legacy of service, education, and community. Three $2,500 scholarships are awarded semi-annually to Alive members pursuing higher education in any field - including healthcare, law enforcement, public service, and beyond.
Eligibility
- Currently enrolled or preparing to begin post-secondary education at an accredited institution for a degree or certification
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Member in good standing of Alive Credit Union
Requirements (emailed to [email protected])
- One letter of recommendation
- A recent college transcript or high school report card
- Essay or video addressing the prompt below
- Completed online application

(Decisioning and disbursement will take place in April.)

Scholarship recipients will be selected without regard to race, sex, color, creed, religious affiliation, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or any other basis prohibited by law. Students who are Alive Credit Union directors, employees, or family members of such, are not eligible for these Scholarships. The decision of the Scholarship Selection Committee will be final. Due to the number of applicants, only winners will be formally notified. Applications to more than one of our scholarships will not increase eligibility or chances of being selected.
